    Description

August 23, 1869 Western Union Telegraph to Daniel Needham, Secretary of the New England Agricultural Society.  From J. G. Dodge at Littleton New Hampshire.
The telegraph simply says "yes."  Colonel Daniel Needham, 1822-1895, was a major force in the New England Agricultural Society.  He was secretary during this time period.  Records show Colonel Needham as the New England Agricultural Society Commissioner to Mexico in 1891.
Daniel became a lawyer and was at various time a railroad director, bank examiner, manager of farms in various states, governor's aide, Democratic State Committee chairman, Groton Massachusetts town treasurer, elected to state House of Representatives in Vermont, then later also to the Massachusetts General Court (House of Representatives), an officer of the Vermont State Agricultural Society, supervisor of public schools, fire extinguisher company president, and trustee of the Lawrence Academy in Groton.
The title of "Colonel" was given during his service as aide to Governor Boutwell of Massachusetts. Daniel died on Feb.20, 1895 in Groton MA.
If the sender's name is correct, looks to be J.G. Dodge, he may have been a  farmer at Goffstown, New Hampshire.  This is purely speculation on my part.
