This circa 1930s Koken barber pole has it all:
Fully functional & runs smoothly
Lighted, stenciled milk glass globe
Interior lighted, rotating cylinder
Porcelain over cast iron construction
Correct and original wall hanging bracket
Original finish to the porcelain
Name plates unretouched
One plate marked:
KOKEN COMPANIES MFRS. ST. LOUIS U.S.A.
SERIES 13     SERIAL # 1386
Other plate simply marked: KOKEN
It stands(or hangs) an impressive 35" tall with mounting bracket.
The upper cylinder has an @ 28" circumference while the lower, base cylinder is @ 30".
The original clear glass cylinder measures @ 15.5" and has no damage, cracks, or chips,
with just minor "rub" marks at the ends.
The interior red and white striped cylinder is 6" in diameter.
It has been restored internally for operational and safety reasons.
Truly a unique barber collectible !
