    Description

    Shakudo fuchikashira decorated with Uji-gawa Senjin. It was an
    event during battle of Uji river during Genpei War. Kajiwara Kagesue and Sasaki Takatsuna were competing with each other to see which one would cross Uji river and reach the enemy first.
    Made of shakudo with copper, silver and gold inlay.
    This fuchikashira was recently repatinated.
    Made in late Edo period.
