Description
DESCRIPTION: Spectacular late Victorian or Edwardian era, 18k yellow gold, floral spray brooch, with a single pearl, moonstones, and pink rubies. To the best of our knowledge, the other gemstones appear to be emeralds, a large amethyst, and sapphires or possibly diamonds. But we do not know for sure, if the clear cut stones are diamonds or sapphires, and pin has a C like clasp. This pin is not stamped, hallmarked, or signed, but it tested for 18k gold with the stone and acid test, and when scratch and acid was applied, it had no reaction to the acid. Pin weighs 8.19 grams, and has a gold melt or scrap value of 9.47, which includes the stones. We are not experts on gemstones, so please email us if you have any questions.SIZE AND WEIGHT: Just over 2” long, and 1” wide. Weighs 0.25 oz.
CONDITION: Dazzling fine old brooch with no missing stones. Some of the stones have tiny fleabites and scratches, and one of the clear stones, which is next to the center green stone, is chipped. The purple stone has flaws, or tiny bubbles, and the stick pin is misshapen.
