    Condition:  What makes this chest so unusual and fun is the "french door" lids and the angle the doors rest.  Nice little wooden knobs too.  The case is in sound condition - small scratches, hinges work well - underside of chest has torn paper exposing some faded backing - the knife slot strip is torn, needs repair if to be used for knives.  Inner fabric has tears at the right and left sides where lid joins the box - some light stains, some wear and tear.  This box is fun the way it is, an excellent candidate for painting and decorating if the buyer wants to turn a nice, clean, sound, lined box into a decorative inspiration.   Please see photos which show condition accurately.
    Uses:
    The case will function perfectly as a flatware storage box for stainless steel or silverplate.  If you choose to remove the dividers in the box, it will be wonderful for many uses.  If you strip the inside fabric out, this would be a great candidate for upcycle as one of the terrific ideas found on Pinterest - memo wall cabinet, jewelry box, paint box, box for momentoes, organizing mail and/or receipts, or remote control, etc.
