    Description

This is an outstanding George Shiebler pin with a naturalistic, aesthetic design.  Made of sterling silver, each of the five plaques have wonderfully-carved animal life or language symbols.  These include a scarab beetle, seahorse, and a moth.  The background are either hammered or lightly grooved.
The back of the pin has the Shiebler mark (wings on either side of an "S"), the word "STERLING", and the number mark "1012".  This was created in the date range 1890-1910.
This pin is 2 1/2" wide, and 1" tall.  Please see all of the pictures, as they are part of the description.
If you love the Shiebler animal/insect jewelry, this is a great opportunity.  We more frequently see the Homeric images on Shiebler's work, so this is different and fun!
