Large Chunky Banded Agate Brooch Bullseye Antique Victorian Mourning Locket Pin

Description

Absolutely stunning antique banded agate brooch. The metal is either gold filled or pinchbeck, I am not certain but as you can see there is some color loss and tarnish. The agate has great flash, I tried to show it in a multitude of lighting situations so you could see how it changes. The back contains an empty hair locket receiver. There are 4 pins on each side that I believe is how you open the locket. I can't be sure but the back is either very thin glass or it has been replaced with plastic. Honestly I am afraid to open it, I do not want to cause any damage. Each of the 8 Bullseye glass cabochons measures approx 7mm. The entire piece is approx 39mm x 30mm.
