Large Victorian Winged Hand Carved Moonstone Diamond Paste Cherub Brooch

Description

This is an incredible brooch. It dates from the early to mid 1800s. It is crafted from 14K Yellow gold and sterling silver. The brooch features a hand-carved cherub (putti Angel) head in solid moonstone. The collar of the cherub is pave set in rose cut diamonds. The wings are 14K in the back and sterling on the face. The stones on the wings are paste. This brooch has an incredible amount of flash. It is in wonderful condition with a divot at the very top of the cherub's head. All of the stones are original and intact. The pin is a straight pin with a C Clasp This brooch is presented in fabulous condition, minimal wear, with the above noted divot.
