    Description

For Sale a Wakazashi by Kaga no Kami Morimichi, likely 2nd or 3rd generation.
The Nagasa or cutting length is 15 1/4 and the width at the hamachi is 7/8 of an inch.  Quite slender proportions suggest that this is a 'boy's sword' or Genpeku.  The blade received a touch up polish in 2008 by Moses Becerra and has been well oiled ever since.  The Jie does have some small openings and evidence of being polished down here and there. But the Nakago is ubu with the full signature remaining with no fatal flaws of any kind. For this reason the blade would likely pass NBTHK Hozon.  The Koshirae is nice and has a black laquered saya with one small ding at the end, the lacquer there is cracked slightly but not chipped off.  There is a fine looking Kozuka with a bird flying through the sky, see photos of all for details.  Comes with Shirasaya and two sword bags, one for the koshirae and another for the shirasaya.
